With approx. 100 - 400 billion stars in our Milky Way. It is clear that there may be around 10 - 40 billion Star Systems present. With numbers as high as 40 billions, there are many speculations that there would be some Systems that have identical features as our Solar System. These features often give us the illusion that there may be some other life forms outside of our Solar System.
Lets dive into an example, when we take pictures of a Beach or a River, we can't see or perceive the life forms (i.e., Marine life that actually exist there), by merely seeing those Pictures. Similarly, when we take pictures of the Universe, we shouldn't conclude by merely seeing those pictures that other life forms are not present. In fact, besides Carbon (the fundamental Life Supporting Element), Silicon not only has the same life supporting characteristics, but also life forms constituted around [Si] can survive in the most extreme environments of the Universe. Here [C] becomes much inferior to [Si] in terms of Adaptability. This is because the tetra bonds of Silicon are more versatile than that of Carbon.
This clearly concludes that we could find life forms, where we would have not imagined.!
